Heartfelt Interconnectedness
From Friday Sept 4th (5pm) to Sunday 6th Sept (12.30pm) 2026
At Glenthorne Quaker Centre & Guest House,
Easedale Rd, Ambleside LA22 9QH, CUMBRIA

We are delighted to be able to give you information on our forthcoming retreat at
Glenthorne, a picturesque retreat centre in Grasmere, in the heart of the Lake District.
We welcome the opportunity to come together and anchor the Net of Light to a Northern region of
England with such a rich history and unspoilt environment.

Theme:
During a beacons meeting we each tuned in and Heartfelt Interconnectedness emerged. We will
be building peaceful and loving connections with the land and nature spirits, the ancestors of the
area, with the Grandmothers, Angelic helpers from unseen worlds, and with each other.

Activities:
We hope to include a special message to the group from Sharon McErlane, we will be
casting the Net of Light together, and anchoring it in Grasmere and the surrounding area,
offering the Empowerment, taking part in some sacred dance/movement and music, tuning
in and sharing, learning some nourishing self care skills, crafting together, and doing some
ancestral healing work, and connecting with the land and nature spirits.

Accommodation:
We will be staying in simple accommodation in the beautiful Quaker retreat centre, with mostly
shared rooms, including double rooms for couples, and twin and group rooms. There are a limited
number of single rooms. The accommodation is in the main house and in the adjacent Bankside.
There will be discounts for those willing to stay in rooms without ensuite bathrooms. There is some
ground-floor accommodation for disabled visitors. – mostly en suite – in the main house and
adjacent Bankside. All rooms have access to free Wi-Fi.
You will be able to indicate your room preference on the booking form linked below.
Our group will have the exclusive use of a conference room, fitted with a hearing loop, and we will
be able to do some activities in the beautiful grounds, and enjoy meals in the shared dining area.
